Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to extend their occupational competence as professionals within the health and social care and children and young people’s sectors. It is aimed at individuals who are working as care managers or advanced practitioners within these sectors.
In addition to being a stand-alone qualification, this 90-credit qualification forms the combined knowledge and competency element of the Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management – Level 5 (England) for adult social care.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
Learners must achieve a minimum of 90 credits overall. In order to complete this learners must achieve the following rules of combination:
- All six units in mandatory group A totaling 30 credits
- A minimum of 60 credits from the remaining groups
How is the qualification assessed?
Through a portfolio of evidence which is put together during the course and demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria. This also involves being observed in your workplace to meet specific criteria as defined within the qualification.
Learners who successfully complete this qualification may progress to Further or Higher Education to study towards a Diploma or Degree in their chosen subject or specialism.
