Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at experienced learners working within the adult care sector. It is also recommended that learners are currently working, volunteering or on work placement in the sector to demonstrate the required assessment criteria.
The overall qualification requires learners to achieve a minimum of 70 credits. These credits will be completed, through the achievement of the 12 mandatory units (36 credits) and the remaining 34 credits will be taken from the optional unit groups.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
The learner should expect to undertake between 479 and 534 hours of learning, depending upon unit choice. The duration of delivery will depend on each individuals pace, level of study and in-work access to observations.
How is the qualification assessed?
Through a portfolio of evidence which is put together during the course and demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria. This also involves being observed in your workplace to meet specific criteria as defined within the qualification.
